Channelside Bay Plaza Is the Top Spot to watch Tampa’s 2014 Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
WHAT: Tampa’s 2014 Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will pass by Channelside Bay Plaza, a shopping and entertainment destination located in heart of Tampa, Florida, that is leased and managed by Franklin Street. Channelside Bay Plaza will be the place to watch the parade, with snow flurries falling at the property from 6 to 9 p.m.
The parade will begin at the Davis Island Boat Launch and end at the Sail Convention Center. A full map of the parade is available here.
Channelside Bay Plaza will be collecting donations for It’s My Bag, a nationwide movement of travel agents coming together and encouraging the community to donate suitcases, travel bags and duffel bags so that every child in foster care can have their own bag. This year’s judges include ThunderBug, the Tampa Bay Lightning mascot; Brendan McLaughlin, ABC Action News anchor; Chris Wilkerson, Deputy Editor at the Tampa Bay Business Journal; and Tammy Levent, award-winning travel agent and founder of It’s My Bag.
The first-place winner will receive a $2,500 party on Yacht Starship, and the second- and third-place winners will receive weekend stays at the Marriott Waterside and attraction tickets.
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 20
Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to pass by Channelside Bay Plaza around 6:50 p.m. Winners will be announced at Sail Pavilion at 9:30 p.m.
